When it comes to outdoor skills, nature arts and crafts provides children the best of being outside, physical movement and expressing creativity. During this exciting and inspirational hands-on class, students get a chance to experience nature on their own terms while developing deep connections with the outdoor world. Students will have a chance to craft some of the following:

• Nature weaving
• Plaster cast animal tracks
• Painting & stacking rocks
• Ephemeral art creations
• Flower mandalas
• Clay creations
• Nature boats

Our activities will ultimately be decided by the season and availability of wild resources that nature provides for us during the class. Our main goal is to inspire kids to get outdoors, gain awareness of natural systems, feel a sense of belonging and discover connections with nature that were once within all of us as a young child. To explore the wild places without boredom, to experience natural mysteries and whether at a beach, park, forest or backyard feel inspired to craft art from nature.
